This hand fabricated sterling silver necklace features a sentiment by Tagore: “The butterfly counts not months but moments and has time enough.” I have handwritten these words and etched them into a hand cut sterling silver teardrop pendant. A tiny monarch butterfly is etched, hand cut and soldered along the bottom of the pendant and a 3mm dark pink tourmaline cabochon is bezel set above. This piece has been given a rustic, oxidized, brushed finish and hangs from an oxidized sterling silver chain. It measures 1-7/16” x 7/8".
