Silver Mixed Metal Tea Tin Column Earrings

These hand fabricated earrings feature small segments cut from a decorative tea tin and layered over sterling silver rectangles. Both the tea tin cut outs and the sterling silver rectangles have been given a curved form. The silver has been given an oxidized, brushed finish. The earrings measure approximately 3/8" across and hang from sterling silver earwires. The total earring length is approximately 1-7/16”.
The tea tin series was originally designed for the Deja Vu Art and Fine Craft Show in celebration of America Recycles Day. My work won Best of Show at this annual event in 2018.
